Move projects with .vf
A .vf file is an editable snapshot of one Vifu project. Use it to:
- keep an offline backup;
- move a project between Vifu workspaces;
- hand an editable story to another creator; or
- preserve a milestone before a large revision.
What is included
The file keeps the creative material needed to continue editing:
- project name and description;
- scenes, dialogue, choices, and endings;
- cast and character presentation;
- story values and branch conditions;
- language versions;
- structured resources; and
- managed images, video, voices, music, and sound.
Private installation settings, user accounts, and play history are not included.
Export
Use the project download action from Short Drama or Story Flow. Keep the resulting file unchanged if it will be imported later.
Import
Open the project menu and choose Import .vf project. Import creates a new project and does not overwrite an existing one.
After import:
- open the project;
- review its media and languages;
- run Preview from a fresh start; and
- publish a new version only after the project passes review.
Treat project files from other people as untrusted until their contents and media have been reviewed.
